Herman Miller Action Office System

Herman Miller Action Office Herman Miller’s Action Office system was the world’s first open-plan office furniture system created in the 1960’s.  Since then, Herman Miller has designed and developed a panel system that offers simplicity, versatility, value, and proven functionality.

The Action Office panels define the work space, provide a structural foundation for hang-on components, house electrical and data wires, and influence and compliment the aesthetic character of your working office environment.

Notable Characteristics

Simplicity. Fast and simple installation. The Action Office system is designed to be installed and set up easily and efficiently.

Strength and Quality. The Action Office system utilizes full length connectors that align panels automatically, and the steel construction ensures that the connectors do not weaken with repeated reconfiguration. The individual panels are constructed to last lifetimes, meeting or exceeding the industry requirements for strength and durability. Storage components are made with high quality steel that deters denting and the bearing system used for movable drawers is of high quality to provide long lasting functionality.

Technology Support. A 5 inch base on the panels allows for electrical and data cabling lay-in that avoids extra work and possible damage due to cable threading. Herman Miller’s high powered 4-circuit, 8-wire electrical system will provide more than adequate power for all your office power needs.

Aesthetics.  Action Office allows customers to maximize space as panels are only 2” thick.  Glass and accent fabric stackers can be used to bring out different colors or themes to every workstation.  The overhead flipper door units in the Action Office system has a fabric front door allowing for even further design elements.
